I made this illustration last year but I could not work on them after wards because I was working on many other projects. Next year I will start working on them more often. I wish I had the editable file of the illustration so that I could make changes and improvements because its just not making any sense right now, you might be wondering what is this title and what are these heavily textured images but let me explain everything about this work.
- Firstly the title "that emo bitch made me gay" i made this illustration in style of a music/album cover art (look at the last photo grid) and the title of this project is also the name of this song (the song does not exist yet)
- And the character Daplixo has nothing to do with my irl character most people think that I am Daplixo but Daplixo is someone I have created in my mind few years ago. Its not an alter ego like most of the artist do its just him and he likes Maya and Maya love doing cosplay so it was her idea to dye his hair pink.
- Maya is a difficult one to explain because she is inspired by many girls I had a crush on or I dated in my real life. Maya is like a second voice in my head (I don't know how to explain it without sounding like an emo) but I guess we all have this image of a perfect partner in our mind right so for me Maya is that perfect partner.
- The blender model that you see of Daplixo's head is made by me several months ago when I was learning blender. Now I am pretty good at character modeling I will post a full body sculpt of both of these characters next year.
